So I dunno if krokodil has hit Vancouver or what, but this is a thing. I texted the owner, and he's dead serious. Seems to think that fairly low mileage and one owner means it's worth as much or more than an E34 M5….damn thing doesn't even have the double sunroof, and the hood has obviously been replaced at some point, the wide grille only came stock on V8 cars :/

People are odd.

Rob Ford levels of crackpipe right there.

I mean I badly want one of those, that's why I texted him asking if he meant $1200, but I mean come on…..

I would need manual and would want a panoramic/double sunroof. I'd also be wary that it's a 525i. Given the year it could be either an M50B25 or TU from what I remember. While i like the engine in the 325i, I have my reservations about it being able to move the extra pork on the 5 series touring in a way I'd find pleasing.

I agree, and that would maybe be a 5k car, if the 5 speed swap was done right. 92 is just before the B25TU. I had a 93 with the B25TU and it went just fine, but I may have different standards than you for pleasing :p I like the M50 in the E34 as it's one of the more modern engines, but on that one I'm worried there may have been front end damage

It's all very relative and largely a matter of oppo-inion. Over the years my butt-dyno has informed me that my personal sweet spot is around 15lbs per hp. Enough to get into trouble if I'm not careful but not so little that I frequently want for more.

I just haven't much experience driving many cars. My baseline is a 2005 Taurus, 155hp, 3500lbs, 4spd auto, and a 1969 Volvo 144, 0hp, lbs, 4spd manual. My friends E30 318is feels like a rocket haha

Whenever your baseline is Taurus it can only be uphill.

Haha too true, if you try to have fun in that poor thing it just tries to understeer into a wall

That pretty much mirrors my impression. Except replace "have fun" with "take a corner at what you feel is a reasonable speed."

Yeah the Taurus's idea of a reasonable speed is very different from mine haha

When I made that realization I'd been driving an 89 Ford Probe, so that lets you know where my bar was set. I was very unimpressed with the Tortoise.

Too many zeros. I constantly look for E34 tourings with the manual, literally impossible to find, but I know they exist!

There is something funky going on with the whole front end, look at the way the grill are sitting. They are way to close to each other.

Complete crack-price by the way. $1200 would be a nice price.

Do they? I have never seen one.

Neither have I, but I've heard tales of them, maybe one day...

I have seen e39 6 cyl and 8 cyl manuals but never and e34.

Same here, it's hard to find an 8 cyl but I see the 6 cyl frequently. I like the E34 better.

Manual tourings were never sold in north america, you'd need to manual swap one, or find one that's imported, which I've seen in Canada, or already swapped in the states. There are some M5 touring clones and imports out there too….
